Man Charged In 19 Break-Ins Across 5 Communities: DA

The 33-year-old faces charges in Arlington, Medford, Watertown, Brookline and Quincy.

BOSTON, MA – A Boston man has been charged in 19 home break-ins over the past five months, according to the Middlesex District Attorney's office. Jargle Soto-Suazo, 33, is believed to be responsible for the uptick in break-ins in Arlington, Medford, Brookline, Quincy and Watertown, the DA's office said.

He was arrested following a break-in in Brookline Feb. 7, authorities said. Police searched his home and car and found multiple items that were reported stolen, including watches, jewelry items, a firearm and an iPad.

Investigators believe Soto-Suazo used a pry bar to break into the second-floor windows of homes. The break-ins were reported between 4 p.m. and 11 p.m., according to the DA's office.

Soto-Suazo has been charged in four break-ins in Medford, six in Brookline, seven in Quincy, one in Watertown and one in Arlington. Charges include multiple counts of breaking and entering in the nighttime to commit a felony, attempted breaking and entering, possession of burglarious tools and receiving stolen property.

Soto-Suazo may face additional charges, the DA's office said. He was ordered held on $40,000 cash bail at his arraignment in Brookline District Court Monday.
