Mass. Ave. Boutique Closing

After an 18-month run, Batiz, the boutique at 1179 Mass. Ave., will be closing this week.

Owner Sofia Batiz said the store will be open Tuesday and Wednesday and possibly Thursday and Friday, depending on how much inventory is left.

Batiz, a painter and artist, said she thought the store would act as a venue to sell her art, but instead, it pulled her away from her work.
