NBA Champion Pat Connaughton Returns to Where it all Started
Arlington native returns to Fidelity House to share his NBA success story with those who helped to make it happen
Growing up in Arlington, Pat Connaughton dreamed of becoming an NBA Champion. Now, over 20 years later, Connaughton has turned those childhood dreams into a reality, and was able to celebrate his lifelong goal with his local community.
On Wednesday, September 1, Connaughton returned to Arlington, with the NBA Championship Larry O'Brien trophy in his arms, to share his accomplishment with those who helped him get to where he is today. He visited Fidelity House, a community center in Arlington, to sign autographs and take pictures with a group of friends, family, and Fidelity House community members. Connaughton began his basketball journey at Fidelity House, so it is only fitting that he returned to his roots, having made it to the pinnacle of basketball achievements.
Connaughton, a shooting guard for the Milwaukee Bucks, played high school basketball at St. John's Prep in Danvers, before taking his talents to the University of Notre Dame. Connaughton was instrumental in helping the Bucks clinch their second NBA Championship in franchise history.
