Pat Connaughton Returns To Fidelity House For Meet And Greet
While back in Boston for two games against the Celtics, Milwaukee Bucks guard Pat Connaughton stopped by Fidelity House for a meet and greet

On Saturday, May 4, Pat Connaughton, Arlington native and current reserve guard
for the Milwaukee Bucks, made time in his busy NBA schedule to stop by Fidelity
House, his former stomping grounds, for a meet and greet with local kids and
families. After making a pit stop to take some pictures at a wedding letting
out across the street, that of Krista Doherty, a long-time friend of Connaughton’s,
he sat down in the Fidelity House Gym, a place where he forged his basketball
skills and spent a large part of his childhood, to sign autographs and take
pictures with the couple of hundred waiting fans.
“I grew up playing here. I’ve been coming here since I was probably three years
old. I went to preschool here, learned how to play (basketball) on this court,”
Connaughton said in an interview with WCVB-TV Boston on Saturday. “It’s fun to
be able to come back and see the place that I grew up at, and see all the kids
now that are playing out of here just like I was at that age.”
Connaughton was coming off of his best game of the postseason, a 14-point, seven rebound effort that was key in the Bucks' 123-116 win over the Boston Celtics on Friday, May 3. Connaughton has become a crucial piece of the Milwaukee rotation, but he has never lost touch with the community that got him to where he is today. He looked overjoyed to be meeting, and, much more often, reconnecting with local Arlington and Fidelity House faces. The Prodigal son has returned (just for a weekend) and everyone, Connaughton included, was happy to take a walk down memory lane.
