Pedestrian Hit on Lake Street

A man was hit by a car at about 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, on Lake Street, about 20 feet away from the Mass. Ave. intersection.

The man, who was trying to catch a bus, said he ran across the street without looking. He was not in a crosswalk and ran out from behind a truck, according to police. He was hit by a car taking a left onto Lake Street from Mass. Ave., police said.

The man told police he was OK, but he was bleeding from the face and was taken to Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge for treatment.

The driver was not cited.
