Police Alert Residents to Level III Sex Offender Registered in Arlington

There are 18 Level II and three Level III sex offenders currently living or working in the Town of Arlington, according to the Massachusetts Sex Offender Registry Board.

Richard C. Bent, 49, is registered as a Level 3 sex offender, according to the Arlington Police Department. Bent lives at 1080 Massachusetts Ave., apartment 11, police reported.

According to the Arlington Police, in 1990, Bent was convicted of one count of O/S open and gross lewdness and lascivious behavior. In 2011, he was convicted on one count of open and gross lewdness and lascivious behavior. In March of 2015, Bent was convicted on one count of enticing a child under the age of 16, APD said.

According to the Arlington Police Department, “The individual who appears on the following profile has been finally classified as a Level 2 or Level 3 sex offender by the Sex Offender Registry Board. The Board has determined that this individual has a moderate or high risk to reoffend and that the degree of dangerousness posed to the public is such that public safety interest is served by public availability of registration information.”
