The following incidents were documented in the Arlington Police logs for Saturday, Feb. 18.

Motorcyclist Fails to Stop for Pedestrian

At 6:23 p.m. police responded to 23 Massachusetts Ave., where a pedestrian was hit in crosswalk by a motorcycle.

A witness said she stopped for the pedestrian when a motorcycle cut through between two cars. The woman said the motorcycle did not stop in time and “must have hit her,” according to the report.

The motorcyclist said he tried to stop but spun out due to his speed. He fell to the ground and his helmet struck the lower leg and foot of the pedestrian.

The pedestrian, who appeared neither injured nor visibly shaken, refused medical treatment, according to the report.

The motorcyclist was cited for failure to stop for a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

False Fire Alarm at Germaine Lawrence

At 6:04 p.m. firefighters responded to Germaine Lawrence for a report of a fire. When they arrived there, firefighters were told a student had pulled the fire alarm maliciously and fled the school.

When the student returned, she admitted to a police officer she had pulled the alarm, according to the police report. The officer told staff at Germaine Lawrence he would file a criminal complaint for the incident.

Norcross Street Home Egged

At 8:20 p.m., a Norcross Street resident reported several eggs had been thrown at her house. The eggs hit the wooden floor of the outside porch and an area of siding, according to the report. Police searched the area but found no suspects.
