Resident Loses $1,000 in Fraudulent Charges

At 1:18 p.m., a Colby Road resident went to the  to report a fraudulent charge on his credit card. The victim said someone used his card to buy more than $1,000 worth of items at Walmart.com. The items were shipped to an address in Georgia.

Liquor Store's Window Smashed

At 3:01 a.m. on Wednesday, a police officer was checking the area of Giles Liquor’s, 344 Massachusetts Ave., and found a smashed windowpane at the business. Police noted the window formed a “spider web” but was not fully broken. Later, the business owner said the damage was done accidently by one of his employees—but added he appreciated the call.

Handicap Placard Goes Missing

At 12:42 p.m. on Tuesday, a Maynard Street resident reported her state-issued handicap placard was missing from her card. The woman said the last place she remembers seeing it was at the garage in Burlington. The woman said she doesn’t know if the placard was lost or stolen.
