Danielle M. Westphal, 42, was arrested by Arlington Police soon after the incident. She was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, attempt to commit a crime and malicious destruction of property over $250.

The man told police that he was watching TV with his girlfriend at about 11 p.m. when Westphal, who was unknown to him at the time, kicked in a basement window and said that she was an “Arlington Cop” with a warrant for his arrest. The man said he went outside, and that’s when Westphal threw a punch at him and threatened him with the knife. He said he pushed Westphal back from him right before police arrived.
