Man Arrested for Alleged Assault with Crowbar 

Peter Orfanos was arrested on a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon. He allegedly threatened a man with a crowbar after they argued near Giles Fine Wine, 137 Massachusetts Ave.

The alleged victim said he was exiting the store when he was almost hit by a green pickup truck as he crossed Windsor Street in the crosswalk. The man told police he began arguing with Orfanos, who was driving the car, according to the police report.

Orfanos allegedly spit at the man, who spit back. He then stepped out of the car holding a crowbar, the victim told police.

The man said he broke a glass bottle to defend himself. Orfanos left the scene and was later stopped by police on Massachusetts Avenue.

Flynn Arrested on Warrant Charges

Richard A. Flynn, 51, of Arlington, was arrested at 9:12 p.m. on Thursday for an outstanding warrant charge of using a motor vehicle without authority. He was arrested after an officer saw him walking east on Appleton Street. The officer knew of an outstanding arrest warrant and confirmed the charge over dispatch, according to the report.

Despite his name, Flynn is not related to Capt. Richard Flynn, of the , according to police records.
