Employees of RCN Boston, based in Arlington, Mass. had great success in their recent flip flop drive for two homeless shelters, Boston Rescue Mission and Rosie’s Place. In the past, RCN has donated hats, socks and mittens to these shelters for use in the winter. This summer, the shelters were in dire need of flip flops as they are an item that most people can use year round. By challenging their employees to contribute to the cause, RCN employees purchased 243 pairs of flip flops that will be donated to Rosie’s Place and the Boston Rescue Mission. Pictured in the photo with the donated flip flops is Caroline Byrne, Senior Manager of Customer Care, RCN Boston.
