Registration Deadline for State Primary Election is Friday

You must be registered to vote by Friday at 5 p.m. Here's what you need to know about registering to vote in Arlington.

ARLINGTON, MA — The State Primary election is nearly here, and residents must be registered by Friday in order to vote.

Voters town-wide must be registered to vote by Aug. 19 at 5 p.m. The town clerk's office will be open until 5 p.m. Friday to register voters. Un-enrolled residents can still vote in the State Primary Election.

Voters can register in three ways:

  1. You can register online by clicking here. Voters must have a valid driver's license, learner's permit, or non-driver ID issued by the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles. You must also have a signature on file with the RMV
  2. You can register through the mail by downloading this registration form and mailing the form to the Town Clerk's office (Office of the Town Clerk, 730 Massachusetts Ave., Arlington, MA 02476)
  3. You can go to the town clerk's office during normal business hours or before 5 p.m. on Aug. 19.

Absentee Ballots

Absentee ballots must be made and writing, signed by the voter and received by the City Clerk no later than 12 p.m. on Sept.7. Click here for an absentee ballot application.

The Town has recently updated changed some of its polling locations. Here is the updated list.

  • Precincts 1, 3 and 5: Thompson School
  • Precincts 2, 4 and 6: Hardy School
  • Precincts 7 and 9: Chestnut Manor
  • Precincts 8 and 10: Town Hall
  • Precinct 11: Bishop School
  • Precincts 12 and 14: Brackett School
  • Precincts 13 and 15: Ed Burns Arena
  • Precincts 16 and 18: Dallin School
  • Precincts 17, 19 and 21: Peirce School
  • Precinct 20: Park Avenue Congregational Church
