Routine Motor Vehicle Stop Nets Fugitive From Justice Arrest

Arlington Police Arrest
A recent routine motor vehicle stop on Massachusetts Avenue and Medford Street netted a fugitive from justice arrest.
German A. Gelvez, 24, of Woburn, was arrested on a fugitive from justice court warrant, as well as charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, subsequent offense.

The vehicle was towed, and the plates were seized, tagged, and placed into the plate bin at the police station.

On Aug. 29, a reporting party came to the station about 1 p.m. to report that she had lost her passport. She does not know where she lost her passport at this time. The woman requires a police report to be able to obtain another passport.
On Aug. 30, at approximately 12:05 p.m., an officer was dispatched to investigate a report of a past bike larceny. Upon arrival, this officer spoke with the victim who stated to this officer that she locked her bike to a metal bike rack in the garage of her building approximately three weeks ago.The bike in question is a turquoise, Trek Lexa, women’s road bike. RP stated that she purchased the bike three years ago for just under $1000. The woman was advised that a report would be placed on file and made available to her.
