Selectmen Chair: "Proud of Arlington"

Chair Clarissa Rowe on Jan. 10 said she won’t seek another term on the . Back then, Rowe thanked her coworkers at , who she tearfully said were a “wonderful bunch of people.”

“You have been very well served by the men and women of Arlington who work for the town,” she said then. “They make me proud.”

In an email, she told Arlington Patch, "I am really proud of all our town workers, not just the ones that work in Town Hall."

The following is an email containing more of Rowe's words for the residents of Arlington:

"I am proud of our teachers in their respective , I am proud of our police men and women who are based in the , I am proud of our firemen who are based in our fire stations. I am proud of our works, our engineering staff, our building inspections staff who are based in our DPW building.

"I am proud of our Natural Resources and Cemetery Staff who are based at , I am proud of our staff who are based at our rink, and I am proud of our Health and Human Services and staff who are based in our on Academy Center, and our events staff who are based in Town Hall and the Whittemore Robbins House."
