Sen. Donnelly's Funeral Today in Winchester

Sen. Donnelly died Sunday after a battle with a brain tumor. He was 66.

Sen. Kenneth Donnelly, who died Sunday at the age of 66 following a battle with a brain tumor, will be laid to rest this weekend.

A wake was held Friday and a funeral Mass will be held Saturday.

The funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Eulalia's Church at 51 Ridge St. in Winchester. Relatives and friends are invited.

In lieu of flowers, people can donate to the Arlington Youth Counseling Center at 670R Mass Ave., Arlington, 02146; Appalachian Mountain Club Youth Opportunities Program, 5 Joy St., Boston, 02108; or Greater Boston Legal Services, 197 Friend St., Boston, 02114.

Donnelly, an Arlington Democrat, represented the 4th Middlesex District, including Arlington, Woburn, Lexington, Burlington, and Billerica. He was also the Senate's assistant majority leader.

Donnelly had brain surgery last summer to remove a tumor. He won his re-election in November for his fifth term in the Senate.
