Spy Ponders Up for Nation’s ‘Most Unique High School Mascot’

The Spy Ponders are in the running to win USA Today’s “Most Unique High School Mascot” competition.

Arlington High’s mascot was one of five selected from Massachusetts for the competition.

The Ashland Clockers, Holy Name Central Catholic Naps, Salem Witches and Springfield High School of Science & Technology Cybercats are the other nominees from the Bay State.

Voting is now open, through Tuesday, March 5. After the state competition, all of the winners will face off for the national $2,000 prize.

The Eagles and Tigers are the most common mascots in the country, according to USA Today. Here are the other mascots in contention from New England.
