Stratton School Gym, Cafeteria Closed After Another Vandalism Incident

This is the third incident of vandalism at the Stratton School in the past six months.

ARLINGTON, MA — Yet another incident of vandalism at the Stratton elementary school in Arlington has been reported, the third in six months. In an email to the Stratton school community, principal Michael Hanna told Stratton families that the gym and cafeteria were closed Monday due to the incident.

According to the police report, the person who reported the incident said that when he came in this morning it appeared that there were chemicals on the floor which he believed were caused by the spraying of fire extinguishers. The reporting party also added that he observed a chemical film covering the gym floor, and a fire extinguisher nearby on the floor.

Hanna's email to parents indicated that bag lunch was served to students in the classroom.
