Susan Starr Sered, author of "Can't Catch a Break" Gender, Jail, Drugs and the limits of Personal Responsibility" will speak at church of Our Saviour (Episcopal) on Sunday, April 26 at 11:30 am. 21 Marathon St. in Arlingto

Sunday April 26th 11:30 AM- Susan Starr Sered to speak at Church of Our Saviour Arlington MA 21 Marathon St East Arlington

Dr. Sered will speak about her work documenting the day-to-day lives of forty Boston-area women as they struggle to survive sexual abuse, violent communities, ineffective social and therapeutic programs, discriminatory local and federal policies, criminalization, incarceration, and a broad cultural consensus that views suffering as a consequence of personal flaws and bad choices. Following her presentation, Dr. Sered will participate in a discussion about ways to take action on these issues.
