The Arlington Police Department hosted Bicycle Safety Day with Arlington Community Education yesterday afternoon, on August 24th, 2021. The event was held at the Gibbs Jr High School for grades K-8.

Bicycle Officers White, Simard & Donham focused on teaching the children important hand signals, rules of the road & general safety tips.
Bicycle safety helmets were donated to the children who participated, which were generously provided by Project KidSafe, the Breakstone, White & Gluck Fund For Child Safety. Project KidSafe campaign has donated 30,000 bicycle helmets to date since 2013 and prioritize bicycle safety in Massachusetts.
