Town Of Arlington: Fertilizer Use Recommendations

See the latest announcement from Town of Arlington.

04/15/2021

Rain and stormwater runoff carry fertilizers, pesticides, and other pollutants from lawns and streets into our lakes and ponds. These pollutants and nutrients lower water quality and contribute to algae blooms and other unwanted plant growth in Arlington’s water bodies.

Consider using NO or LOW-Phosphorus, slow-release fertilizer on your property to keep our lakes and ponds clean. The Phosphorus content of fertilizer is the middle number of the formula. Make sure your fertilizer says ZERO or LOW (i.e., Formula 15-0-3 or 28-4-8). Read this flyer for more ways to help protect our lakes and ponds!
