Town Of Arlington: Memorial Day 2021

On May 8th & 15th, Arlington residents assisted in placing flags on the graves of our fallen veterans at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. The support and participation from the community continues to grow each year, and nearly 100 residents participated in this year's event. Thank you to everyone for your willingness to support this event. Some of the volunteers shared their thoughts and feelings regarding Memorial Day.

This year's ceremony will pay tribute to Chief Warrant Officer, Marwan Ghabour, who was killed while serving on active duty in Egypt last November. In addition to our regular speakers, we will hear comments from veterans from various conflicts regarding their thoughts on the meaning of Memorial Day. The ceremony will be broadcast on ACMi and other social media outlets beginning at 10:00AM on May 31st.
