Town Of Arlington: Night Work - Crack Sealing Work To Be Completed On Select Roads And On The Minuteman Bikeway

The Town of Arlington, through its contractor Indus, will be completing crack sealing work in select locations in Town, mostly focused in the East End, beginning the evening of September 2nd and lasting overnight into the early morning hours of September 3rd. Crack sealing is a pavement preservation technique in which cracks in the asphalt pavement are filled in order to extend the life of the roadway. The process is a rolling operation that will travel down impacted roadways at slow speeds while workers apply the sealant. Residents should expect brief periods of noise while the workers are working in front of their homes. The work is completed at night to limit impacts related to parking and vehicular travel. Contractor vehicles will be accompanied by a Police Traffic Detail Cruiser to ensure worker and resident safety. Work is planned at the following locations:

- Edith Street
- Margaret Street
- Kensington Road
- Kensington Park
- Brantwood Road
Following completion of work on these roadways, the contractor will complete work on the Minuteman Bikeway from the Cambridge town line to the Lexington town line. This process will also occur during the overnight hours when the Bikeway is closed to public use (9:00 PM to 5:00 AM).
