Nonprofit organizations, social service agencies, community members who make a low- or moderate-income, participants in youth and senior programs, and individuals interested in affordable housing, small businesses, economic development, accessibility, and equity are all encouraged to attend. The CDBG program, administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) since 1974, provides grants to state and local governments. CDBG supports activities including housing rehabilitation, youth and senior services, small business assistance, and park renovations, among other activities. Activities funded by CDBG serve primarily individuals and households who make a low-to moderate-income, seniors, and people with disabilities. As an entitlement community, Arlington has received CDBG funds directly from HUD for 47 years.

All questions regarding the CDBG Program may be directed to Mallory Sullivan, Community Development Block Grant Administrator, at 781-316-3094 or mjsullivan@town.arlington.ma.us.
