Arlington Public Works, Fire, and Police personnel worked into the evening to clean up and keep the Town safe after last night’s storm. Public Works continues to clear street trees and damaged limbs and will continue for several days. Priority is given to those downed branches that are public safety issues (walks and roadways). To assist in this clean up, Public Works is asking residents, if they are able, to bag or bundle small branches for regular weekly curbside yard waste collection. For tree or large limb removal from private property, contact a professional tree service.

The National Weather services forecast more isolated thunderstorms this afternoon. Please be sure to secure any yard furniture, tools, or other items which may become airborne in high wind. Keep patio umbrellas closed when not in use. As a reminder for downed wires call 911 and treat all downed wires as they were "live" electrical and stay away from them. View a list of emergency phone numbers.

The Town and Public Works thanks everyone for their patience and cooperation as we clean up after this storm event.
