Town Of Arlington: Traffic Advisory Relating To Events Scheduled Weekend Of June 12th, 2021

The Arlington Police Department would like to issue a traffic advisory regarding road closures and anticipated traffic for the second weekend in June. Dates affected are Friday June 11, 2021- Sunday June 13th, 2021. On this weekend there are at least two Arlington events scheduled that both require road closures and bring crowds of people in attendance. Below is information relating to these closures.

Greek Festival:

The Greek Festival at St. Athanasius Church starts on Friday June 11th and ends on Sunday June 13th, 2021.

Appleton Place between Massachusetts Avenue & Burton Street will be a one-way street heading up Burton street, including the closing of Acton Place. Please follow police detail instructions for the area. 

Soap Box Derby:

The annual Soap Box Derby will be taking place on Eastern Ave on Saturday June 12th, 2021. Eastern Ave will be closed from Park Circle to Scituate St as well as streets with access to Eastern Ave from 7am to approximately 4:30pm.

Traffic may be impacted on this particular weekend with the volume of visitors. Please plan accordingly.
