The 36-year-old was arrested Thursday, March 5, without incident.

Authorities say Martin met the victim, who was less than 16 years old at the time, at some point during his 2011-2013 tenure at Ottoson. After interacting through what police describe as a “mobile phone-based social media service,” Martin and the victim agreed to meet in January.

During the meeting, police say Martin sexually assaulted the victim in an Arlington parking lot, then left the victim at a restaurant.

According to WCVB, an Arlington High School employee overheard the victim discussing the incident, and parlayed the information to the authorities.

“We are not aware of any other inappropriate conduct involving any other children, and we have no reason to believe that any other children were affected,” said Arlington Public Schools Superintendent Kathleen Bodie, in a statement to the media.
