Week in Preview

With Labor Day Weekend looming at week's end, here are a few things going on in town before then:

The Arlington Farmers' Market will celebrate Massachusetts Farmers' Market Week from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, in the Russell Common parking lot. The event, which was postponed due to rain last week, will have a rolling tasting cart and prizes.

Later on Wednesday, the Edith M. Fox Branch Library & Community Center will be showing the kids' movie, "Hoot," from 5 to 8 p.m. There will be pizza, snacks and refreshments at the free event.

There are also a couple meetings in town this week.

The School Committee's district accountability and curriculum, instruction and assessment subcommittee is scheduled to meet at 8 a.m., Tuesday, in the committee's room on the sixth floor of Arlington High School.

The town's Conservation Committee is set to meet at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, in the second-floor conference room of the Town Hall annex.
