Wheelworks Now Offers Thirteen Styles of Electric Bikes!
The Newest Wave of Cycling Mixes Speed and Style with an Innovative Electric Assist Motor

Wheelworks, one of the country’s most respected bicycle retailers, is adding thirteen styles of electric bicycles (e-bikes) to its extensive inventory. These bikes feature an integrated electric motor used for propulsion. Some e-bikes have a small motor to help the rider’s own pedal power and others are more powerful. Speed, under power, ranges from 20-28 MPH and all bikes retain the ability to be pedaled by the rider.
Wheelworks’ stock includes e-bikes from the following five brands: Currie Tech, Specialized, Stromer, Trek, and XTRACYCLE with prices ranging from $2,000 to $7,000. “The electric bike customer is looking for a little help and a lot of fun,” says Wheelworks owner Clint Paige. “We have seen a variety of users – from older cyclists who want to continue riding but need some help on the hills to younger cyclists with long commutes to families who just love the fun and the ease of it all.”
Wheelworks has stores in Belmont and Somerville, Massachusetts. E-bikes are available at both stores and the company is also taking them on the road for “test drives” at various events throughout Greater Boston this spring and summer. No registration or insurance is necessary for e-bikes.
