BOLTON, Mass. – More than 150 volunteer run tournaments were recognized by the Jimmy Fund on Feb. 7, at The International Golf Club in Bolton, Mass., for their commitment to the Jimmy Fund Golf Program. By organizing golf tournaments, they helped raise nearly $6.5 million in 2012 for adult and pediatric cancer care and research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through Jimmy Fund Golf, one of the nation’s oldest and largest charity golf programs. Shown being recognized for their outstanding efforts is Melissa Otis of North Attleboro, Mass., Ron Dial of Pembroke, Mass., and Alfred Moschetto of Hampton Falls, N.H., along with Jimmy Fund Director, Suzanne Fountain. They helped organize the MIADA Golf Tournament at the Indian Pond Country Club in Kingston, Mass., which was recognized as a new tournament with the Jimmy Fund Golf Program. Jimmy Fund Golf is one of the oldest and largest charity golf programs in the country. Now in its 31st year, Jimmy Fund Golf has raised more than $91 million to support adult and pediatric cancer care and research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
