Government costs money---how much do you want to spend?

A fair philosophical question is whether government can get TOO BIG.   I say, "yes"; but many folks have not even considered the question.

The title that I gave to this posting is from the sport of auto racing.   The Memorial Day 500 at Indianapolis is coming soon.   From that sport is the question:  "Speed costs money---how fast do you want to go?"

Notice the similarity?

Obviously, "more government" is NOT the answer.   All we've received for fifty years in America is more government . . . and it's only made things WORSE!

It's past time to spend LESS . . . even here in "Wellesley Lite":  everything you always wanted in a community . . . and less.   After all, most of us drive Toyotas and Fords, not Benzes and Lexuses.   So why have a Lexus version of local government?   Wouldn't a nice Ford do the job just as well, maybe even better?   Of course . . . and would cost less, too.   It's why I eat at Morin's and not at the Blackington Inn.   Kapiche?
