HarborOne Bank’s Spring Checking Campaign Raises More than $4,800 to Support Local Schools As part of Spring Checking Campaign HarborOne donated five dollars for every checking account opened to more than 10 school districts throughout the Commonweal

Brockton, MA (June 5, 2014) – As part of their ongoing effort to support local schools, leading banking institution HarborOne announced today that the company’s Spring Checking Campaign, which donated five dollars for every checking account opened during the months of March - April raised more than $4,800 to be donated to more than 10 local schools throughout the South Shore.

“We are proud to support our local schools and can think of no better investment than in the education of our future community leaders,” said James Blake, President & CEO of HarborOne Bank. “HarborOne is committed to serving as a good corporate citizen and partner and by engaging our clients and customers in these efforts we are working collaboratively to strengthen our local communities.”

Over the past 9 weeks, nearly 1,000 checking accounts have been opened across 14 branches in communities throughout the South Shore including Brockton, Easton, Canton, Randolph, Abington, Raynham, Middleboro, Bridgewater, Plymouth, Attleboro and Mansfield. The donations raised will help schools with whatever each School District determines is most meaningful to them.

“HarborOne has been a longstanding and enthusiastic supporter of education in the Brockton Public Schools, and we are grateful for their continued partnership,” said Superintendent of Schools Kathleen A. Smith, JD. “This program provides our schools with critical additional funding that supports academic and enrichment programs.”

In addition to the Spring Checking Campaign, HarborOne is an active member the community partnering with organizations such as the United Way of Greater Plymouth, Mansfield High School Boosters, Old Colony YMCA, and the Brockton Area Workforce Investment Board.
