“The illegal trafficking of firearms in our country threatens the safety of each and every community as well as the laws that ensure safe gun ownership,” said U.S. Attorney Carmen Ortiz in a statement. “This case demonstrates that no one is immune from the scrutiny of the law, and, that in the end, justice will prevail.”
Prosecutors said Oscar Hernandez bought an old Toyota Camry, loaded the car full of guns, and shipped it to Aaron Hernandez’s North Attleboro home. Aaron Hernandez’s girlfriend, Shayanna Jenkins, paid for the delivery of the car, prosecutors said, and Aaron Hernandez’s palm print was recovered from one of the guns recovered from the Toyota Camry.

Last month, Aaron Hernandez was sentenced to life in prison for killing a man in 2013. He’s scheduled to go on trial for two more murders.
He didn’t use any of the guns Oscar Hernandez shipped him in the murders, prosecutors said.
