Patch Picks: 5 Parks to Visit in the 'Boro and Beyond

Here are five parks that should be on your list of places to go this summer.

1. - Of course, Attleboro's Capron Park would make this list.This park also has a zoo in the heart of it, . It has all sorts of great picnic spots, shelter if it rains and a beautiful rose garden.

2. - Colt State is a park with an ocean view. Bring your kite, cause this is the park in which to fly it. After you enjoy the park, check out the beach in the same property.

3. Roger Williams Park - This is a extra large park with many things to do.There is a great playground for the kids and a carousal filled with moving horses. Paddle boats available for rent. If you still have time you can check out the Roger Williams Zoo.

4. World War I Memorial Park - 401 Elmwood St., North Attleboro. This Memorial Park is home to Julia's Garden, a small petting zoo, and many other great stuff. There is a super-sized sand box, a unicorn statue and much more.

5. Slater Park - Off of Newport Avenue in Pawtucket, RI. Slater Park has an updated playground with lots of new climbers. Their is access to a three-mile bike path, which begins at Armistice Blvd and ends at . There is also a litte petting zoo that sits in the center of this park.
