Chorus pro Musica to Perform in South End
They'll perform Benjamin Britten's War Requiem at 8 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross.
Chorus pro Musica, based out of Old South Church, will perform Benjamin Britten's War Requiem at 8 p.m. on March 3 at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in the South end.
They chorus will be singing with the New England Philharmonic Orchestra as part of their 35th anniversary celebration, and will be joined by the Providence Singers and the Boston Children's Chorus.

This piece was commissioned for the 1962 consecration of the new Coventry Cathedral built adjacent to its predecessor which was largely destroyed in WW II. Β Poems of Wilfred Owen, written in the trenches during WW I, are interspersed in the traditional Latin text.Β
