Second Friend of Terrorist Dzhokhar Tsarnaev Gets 36 Months

Robel Phillipos was convicted of lying to investigators during the Boston Marathon Bombing investigation.

The U.S. Attorney of MA has announced that Tsarnaev friend, Robel Phillipos, has been sentenced to 36 months in prison for lying to investigators during Marathon bombing investigation, according to post on Twitter.

Earlier today, Azamat Tazhayakov, a college roommate of Tsarnaev, was sentenced in U.S. District Court to 42 months in prison for obstruction of justice on June 5, 2015. He will get credit for timed served and then deported. Earlier this week, Dias Kadyrbayev was sentenced to 72 months in the case.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who was sentenced to death on May 15, 2015, for his role in killingfour people and injuring hundreds in the 2013 bombings and police action that followed, will be sentenced later this month.
