26-Year-Old Man Shot In Hyannis

The shooter is still at-large, and Barnstable police asked for the public's help finding leads.

BARNSTABLE, MA — A 26-year-old man was shot in Hyannis Monday night, according to police.

Police were called to the shooting around 9:20 p.m., in the area of Main Street and Bassett Lane. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower torso.

Emergency officials brought the man to Cape Cod Hospital. Police said he's in stable condition and is expected to survive.

According to police, an unknown shooter fired several rounds at the victim's car, while in Hyannis. Police said the man tried to drive himself to the hospital, but he wasn't able to drive further once he reached Main Street.
