2nd Fisherman Identified In Sinking Of Yankee Rose: Report
The search for the missing crew member had been suspended on Friday.
PROVINCETOWN, MA — The second fisherman who presumably died when the Yankee Rose capsized and sank Thursday has been identified.
Truett Holcomb Jr. was aboard the fishing boat when it overturned about 3 miles northeast of Race Point, WCVB-TV 5 reported early Monday.
The two men were dredging for scallops when the incident occurred.

Rescue personnel recovered the body of crew member Angel Nieves, 37, soon after the capsizing. A search for the second fisherman on the Yankee Rose continued until being suspended Friday afternoon.
Holcomb’s son told WCVB the missing man was his father.

Both fishermen were from the New Bedford area, where the boat had its home port, but they frequently worked the waters near Provincetown.
No cause for the vessel’s loss has been publicly released.
