5th DUI Arrest for Cape Cod Man

A Cape Cod man was charged with his 5th DUI after crashing his car last night, police said.

YARMOUTH, MA — A Cape Cod man was drunk when he crashed in Yarmouth Tuesday night — earning his fifth DUI charge, according to police. Edward McGadden, 42, of Dennis, was charged with drunk driving and negligent driving.

Police said McGadden was first arrested for drunk driving on April 30, 1997 in a case out of Marlborough District Court. He pleaded guilty, according to police. He currently has a pending case, police said. His other drunk driving arrests include:

  • Jan. 12, 1998: Marlborough District Court (pleaded guilty)
  • Feb. 16, 2012: Orleans District Court (case dismissed)
  • Feb. 19, 2015: (case pending)
