Committee for Barnstable Dog Parks Looking for Leadership

Because this it's in its first year of operations, the Committee for Barnstable Dog Parks is holding  elections for Board of Directors members at its annual meeting in January for a 6-month term.

The Nominating Committee is seeking candidates for the President and Secretary roles, plus several "at large" positions on the Board.

We are particulary looking for talent, interest and energy in the areas of planning, public relations, grant writing, membership development and fundraising but many other kinds of knowledge and skills would be useful.

Even having a large network of friends and family will help us garner interest and support for the dog park. The most important qualifications are that you love dogs and are willing to lend a hand.

Requirements for serving on the Board are willingness to attend monthly Board meetings and partcipation in our events and initiatives. Only paid members are eligible but becoming a paid member is easy.

Act now by emailing cbdpvols@gmail.com to express your interest in serving and a member of the Nominating Committee will reach out to you to discuss; you can pay your $20 annual membership fee at the same time. If you're already a paid member you can nominate yourself at the annual meeting if preferred.

Elections will be held at our Annual Meeting, to be held at 6:30, Jan. 26 at the Barnstable Police Department on Phinney's Lane in Hyannis.
