Growing your own food has seen a revival in recent years and this series of workshops will equip you with all the information necessary to grow a wide range of highly nutritious, organic vegetables at home. The course will take you from the planning and seed starting through the harvest. Participants will be given extensive handouts to take home to get them started.

Keeping the Garden Healthy and Thriving

Minimizing weeds and insect damage. We will cover weeding tools and techniques, nurse crops and cover crops, disease control with an emphasis on observation and prevention. Also, good biological and organic controls for disease. Plus a bonus segment on when to plant for a late fall harvest. Planting some vegetables in July will yield a great fall harvest of many cold tolerant veggies.Maximum: 15 participants

Create a small garden that produces a bounty of flowers. Learn what flowers do well on Cape Cod and which are best for cutting.
