OCCUPY Camp Out Friday Night

Occupy Cape Cod will be sponsoring some exciting events on the weekendof January 27-29.

On Friday, January 27, with the help of a group of Boston occupiers,a tent encampment will be established on the lawn of the Calvary Baptist Church,25 Lincoln Road (corner of West Main Street), Hyannis. On Saturday, January 28 there will be a protest/stand-out at the Bank of America on Barnstable Road in Hyannis.

Participants from Occupy groups from Eastham, Falmouth,Orleans, Wellfleet, Provincetown and Boston will join with Occupy Hyannis from 10-11AM.

A group from Cape Cod Move to Amend and Occupy Cape Cod will performstreet theater in the BoA parking lot presenting "Octopi Cape Cod."

Yes, a theatricaloctopus will be involved.A soup lunch will be served at the Calvary Baptist Church from 11AM-1PM.From 1-3PM Grace Ross, a Worcester activist and former candidate for governorof Massachusetts, will make a presentation on the subject of foreclosure.

The author of Main St. $marts, Ms. Ross is considered by many to be theexpert on foreclosure in Massachusetts.

3-4PM Occupy Falmouth members Peter Waasdorp and Paul Rifkin will discuss how their group developed its goals and mission statement and is able to bring out over 100 people to Occupy Falmouth stand-outs.

4-4:30PM David Agnew and Sara Thacher will talk about the dangers of the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Plant.

A pot-luck dinner will follow from 4:30-6:30PM

followed by open mike music and poetry from 6:30-9PM

Camping out on the lawn will occur Saturday night.
