Schedule Announced for Campus Visits and Forums by Two Finalist Candidates: One Withdraws. First Visit is Thursday Dec. 1st
After an , the Cape Cod Community College Board of Trustees will bring two finalists to campus to interview for the position of President upon the retirement of President Schatzberg.
Initially, there were three candidates recommended to the Board of Trustees by the Search Committee.
However, Peter Grant Jordan recently notified the Board that he would not continue in our process because he had accepted a Presidency elsewhere.

Each presidential finalist candidate will participate in a public forum, and the Board invites and strongly encourages everyone to attend the open public forums. These forums are open to administration, faculty, staff, students and the general public. There will be a brief introduction of each candidate followed by a question/answer session. Comment forms will be given to all who attend. The completed comment forms will be collected at the end of each Forum and given to Cape Cod Community College Board of Trustees for review as they deliberate.
On Thursday, Dec. 1st our first guest will be Dr. Peter Katopes, who serves as Vice President for Academic Affairs at La Guardia Community College of the City University of New York. Dr. Katopes previously served as Campus Dean and Dean of Faculty at Ammerman Campus of Suffolk County Community College, NY. Dr. Katopes holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from St. John's University, NY, and both a Master of Arts and Ph.D. in English from the State University of New York - Stony Brook.

On Wednesday, Dec. 7th, we will host. Dr. John Cox who serves as Vice President, Finance, Operations and Government Relations at Harford Community College, Bel Air, MD; Dr. Cox previously served as Budget Director for Harford County Public Schools, Bel Air, MD. Dr. Cox holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Columbian College of Arts and Science, George Washington University, Washington, DC; an M.P.A. Public Administration and an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration also from George Washington University.
