The people of Barnstable County have been sold out by the very individuals elected to serve them. The current County Commissioners, Sheila Lyons, Mark Forest, and Ronald Bergstrom, have recklessly prioritized special interests and personal agendas over the public good, leaving a trail of broken promises and shattered trust. Their failures have become a cancer, infecting every aspect of our community and eroding the very fabric of our society.

Their lack of transparency has been a hallmark of their tenure, shrouding their decisions and actions in secrecy. They have consistently refused to allow direct verbal public comment at meetings, silencing the voices of the people they are supposed to serve. This blatant disregard for public input and participation has created a culture of exclusion, where only the privileged few are heard.

Years of open meeting law violations have further eroded trust, as the Commissioners have repeatedly ignored the law and conducted business behind closed doors. This secrecy has allowed them to push through controversial projects and policies without public scrutiny, leaving our community to suffer the consequences.

Their neglect of critical infrastructure projects, like the crumbling county courthouses and outdated wastewater treatment facilities, has put public health and safety at risk. The periodic stench of sewage ant the County Complex and the sound of crumbling concrete are constant reminders of their failures. Our public buildings under their care, our local businesses, and our homes are all suffering due to their inaction.

The Commissioners' actions have silenced the voices of local residents, businesses, and community organizations, ignoring widespread opposition to their decisions. They have mismanaged county finances, overspending on pet projects and misallocating funds, burdening taxpayers and jeopardizing essential services.

The people of Barnstable County have had enough. We demand the immediate resignation of the current County Commissioners and call for new leadership that will prioritize transparency, accountability, and public participation. We urge citizens to sign this petition, share their personal stories, and join us in demanding a better future for Barnstable County. Let us come together to demand accountability and build a government that truly serves the people.

We deserve better. Our community deserves better. Our children deserve better. It's time for a change. We must make our collective voices heard, and reclaim our community's future. By ridding ourselves of these three political clowns, we can then elect public servants that truly represent the people of Cape Cod, and a government that prioritizes transparency, accountability, and public participation.
