Barnstable Police Welcome New Officer, Promote 3 To Sergeant
Sergeant promotions follow a number of retirements among veteran staffers, according to the department.

BARNSTABLE, MA — The Barnstable Police Department is promoting three officers to higher ranks, and will welcome a new face.
Police announced that three officers were promoted to the role of sergeant on Dec. 9, which followed the recent retirements of several supervisors.
They are Sergeants Edward Cronin, Armando Feliciano and David Foley. All have served in the department for at least 14 years, with Cronin and Feliciano closing in on 20 years of service.

Cronin started his career in 1999 with the Boston Municipal Police. He then worked at the Harwich Police Department for three years before transferring to Barnstable in 2005, police said.
Feliciano has held numerous positions within the Department including being a field training officer, a member of the mountain bike unit, an IMC administrator, a firearms instructor and has maintained his EMT certification, allowing him to teach CPR for the Department, police said.

Foley has been a member of several specialty units with the department. Most notably he has been a field training officer, served as a detective for five years assigned to general investigations, participated in the Adopt-a-School program and is on the department's Marine Unit.
In a separate ceremony on Dec. 16, the department swore in a new officer in Brody DeMinico who began field training on Dec. 18. He hails from Hanson, Massachusetts.
While attending college, DeMinico enlisted in the United States Army National Guard. DeMinico reached the rank of E5 Sergeant, serving in the 112th Infantry Regiment. During his time in the National Guard, he earned various awards and achievements before receiving an honorable discharge in 2021.
DeMinico attended the Plymouth Intermittent Reserve Police Academy to pursue a career in law enforcement, officials said. He then worked for the Abington Police Department as a reserve and detail officer from 2018 to 2019.
In 2020, DeMinico attended and graduated from the Massachusetts Bay Transport Authority (MBTA) Police Academy after being hired as a full-time police officer for the MBTA Transit Police, where he worked for two years on their motorcycle unit.
DeMinico currently resides in Dennis.
