Authorities Identify Dead Man Found On Centerville Street

CENTERVILLE, MA — A man died after being found unresponsive on a Centerville street, according to Barnstable police.

Police said a man was found around 4:15 a.m., Friday on Wequaquet Lane. Officials with the Cape & Islands District Attorney's office identified the man as David Silva, 42, of Barnstable.

Authorities said Silva was taken to Cape Cod Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Officers closed Wequaquet Lane between Phinney's Lane and Route 28 for several hours Friday morning, while officers investigated. It has since reopened.
