Candidate Ron Beaty Rated “Excellent” on Private Property Rights

Barnstable, Cape Cod: April 29, 2022 - Ron Beaty, a 2022 fiscally conservative Republican Candidate for Barnstable County Commissioner, and a longtime Regional Community Activist, was recently endorsed with a rating of EXCELLENT by the Citizens Alliance for Property Rights (CAPR).

To receive consideration by the CAPR, candidates for public office must complete the CAPR Candidate Questionnaire and sign the CAPR Political Action Committee Candidate Pledge.The Candidate Pledge enunciates that if elected a candidate shall:
"In accordance with my oath of office to uphold my state constitution and the constitution of the United States, I hereby affirm that I will not use the power of my office to advance laws, policies, or regulations which I believe would most likely result in the loss of any reasonable use, in taking, or in any other damage to private property unless provisions for just compensation having first been made or legally established in any such law, policy, or regulation."

Citizens’ Alliance for Property Rights (CAPR) was organized in 2003 as a non-partisan political action committee where individual citizens and existing organizations can work together defending property rights. We will support equitable and scientifically sound land use regulations that do not force minority groups of private property owners to pay for public benefits enjoyed by all. After observing environmental conditions around the world we have concluded that private owners are far better stewards of this earth than collectivist central planners are. We want to be part of our children’s and grandchildren’s lives. They should not have to move elsewhere in order to afford a home of their own. Laws protecting property rights are useless if the relevant courts ignore or misinterpret their clear meaning.
Therefore, our MISSION is to protect property rights by:

• Establishing a single coordinated voice dedicated to preserving and protecting property rights.
• Electing legislators pledged to protect, not destroy, property rights and electing judges pledged to uphold our constitutionally guaranteed right to own and control property.
• Promoting legislation to preserve and protect property rights while opposing excessively burdensome legislation.
• Reducing the regulatory cost of living.

Citizens' Alliance for Property Rights (CAPR) is a Washington state non-profit corporation that is also registered as a foreign corporation in California. CAPR is a membership organization dedicated to advocating for property rights. CAPR is the lead organization of three related corporations - CAPR, CAPR Political Action Committee, and CAPR Legal Fund.
