Cape Man With Criminal History Escapes Correctional Hospital: MSP
Darren Devine, 30, has ties to Chatham, Harwich and Brewster, and has had several involvements with Harwich officers, police said.
CHATHAM, MA — A Cape Cod man is wanted by Massachusetts State Police after walking away Saturday from Lemuel Shattuck Hospital in Jamaica Plain, according to Chatham police.
Darren Devine, 30, has ties to Chatham, Harwich and Brewster, and has had several involvements with Harwich officers, police said. Police said Devine has been violent in the past.
State Police described Devine, who's pictured above, as 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing black shorts and a black t-shirt.

In May, Devine pleaded not guilty to larceny charges, strangulation or suffocation, assault and battery on a family or household member, assault and battery, assault with a dangerous weapon and breaking and entering, the Cape Cod Times reported. He also pleaded not guilty in June to assault to commit rape and witness intimidation.
