Cape Man Gets 14-Year Prison Sentence For Child Porn Conviction

Kerry Adams, 61, of Provincetown, admitted to having hundreds of files on laptops, thumb drives and SD cards containing child pornography.

PROVINCETOWN, MA — A Provincetown man was sentenced to 14 years in prison Thursday after pleading guilty to child pornography charges.

Kerry Adams, 61, was convicted of receipt of child pornography, possession of child pornography and distribution of child pornography. Adams was arrested in October 2018 and has been in federal custody since.

Adams admitted to having hundreds of files on laptops, thumb drives and SD cards containing child pornography. Prosecutors said three of the files were videos of prepubescent boys engaging in sexual acts.

Police obtained the files through a peer-to-peer computer program and found the files were previously downloaded from Adam's IP address, according to court documents.

Following his prison sentence, Kerry will also have to serve 10 years of supervised release.
