The screening is part of the monthly “Best of the Fest” series and is screened on the art center’s new 26-foot movie screen, projector, and sound system. The Center will host a reception (Ice Cream, Anyone??) in the theater.

The Wavy Gravy Movie: Saint Misbehavin’ (2008, 88 min.) is a feature documentary about cultural phenomenon Wavy Gravy, who first came to public attention as the emcee of the Woodstock Festival. He is a man whose commitment to making the world a better place has never wavered, and neither has his sense of humor. Wavy Gravy is a hippie icon, clown and even a Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream flavor.  The film  weaves together intimate cinéma vérité footage, reflections from an array of cultural and counter-cultural peers, and never-before-seen archival footage to tell a story that is bigger than the man himself.
