This show is sure to be a memorable night of classic reggae grooves when UB40’s lead singer Ali Campbell and his new project come to town along with Junior Marvin’s Wailers. One of the UK’s most distinctive and recognizable voices, Ali Campbell has wracked up four No. 1 world-wide singles and sold more than 60 million records while with UB40.
Junior Marvin joined Bob Marley’s band in 1977 and played on Marley’s album Exodus, which was named “Best Album of the 20th Century” by Time Magazine. Junior performed on all Marley’s albums from 1977 onward and released four more records with the Wailers after Marley’s death. Over the years, Junior has performed with many of reggae’s superstars. British reggae star Maxi Priest will be opening the night at the Tent.
